I'm sorry too, for missing your post. Is everything okay now?

My cat Lucy would give me the treatment if there was so much of a hint at another animal coming around. Or even if he smelled one on me. He had such a severe dislike for other cats, that we were unable to get another, ever, while we had him. The few times we did bring another animal home, he would snub us for days afterwards. Until all traces of that animal were gone and he was certain that it wouldn't be coming back. But that was an extreme case, with very clear reasons for his feelings. Probably, once the smells are gone, your kitty will come back around, I would not try to reintroduce them any time soon. Or if you do, be in a place where your cat will not be too territorial.
