You need to keep the animals separated. Since the dog won't learn, and the cat probably won't get used to it, given what you said about her personality. You might go back and read some of the posts in the Introducing new Pet's forum.
I also think you need to take the cat to the vet. They can offer medication to help calm the cat, like anti-anxiety medication. I've heard this helps alot. I don't know the names of any of them, but alot of people around here do, I think I remember one called Buspar? That was only posted yesterday, lol. Anyways, the people here should be able to tell you, and I'm sure your vet will know.
