i adopted a 3 month old male kitten on monday. he was never afraid of any thing, never hid at all, just explores all the time and craves atention. i gave him 2 days to get use to his new home and he can see all my other pets through their cages, he especialy enjoys watching the rats.
today when cleaning one of the rat cages i held a rat up to him for him to smell, he rubbed his face on the rat, so that seemd like a very good thing to me. i like to let my rats run around on my bed for excersize, do you guys think he will get along with them and not try to hurt them?
questions number 2...i already know he does not like my ferrets. on the 3rd day i let the ferrets out and he sat on my bed, for a while he had his tail all fluffed up staring at them. eventually he calmed down and sort of ignored them. im glad in a way that he stays on my bed because the ferrets play so rough they hurt each other, i dont want them to hurt my kitty. but he has to sit on my bed all freaked out for an hour or so until the ferrets go back in their cage. does any one have any advise to give about mixing felines and ferrets?
