About a year ago I introduced a 6 year old female into my two cat household. It has not been easy for her, but she seems much better settled in than in the beginning. She is a bit ornery and territorial by nature, but is bonding more with me as time goes by. The three cats basically tolerate each other, although a few behavioral issues:

1. The two resident cats seem to have bonded more since she arrived.

2. She will only hang out in the same room with the other two when I am there; otherwise, she hangs out by herself or just with me downstairs, while the other two are upstairs.

3. Sometimes the new cat will go after the other two, although its never terribly violent---some hissing & swatting, etc. The other two go out of their way to avoid her, although once in a while they go up to her (more recently).

So, is she the pariah, even though she seems more dominant? Will the relationships evolve more?

Thanx!
