Hi There,
My feeling is that most cats ultimately do best living with at least one other cat. Especially a kitty such as yours, who had a kitty buddy before.
As long as you are willing to deal with the initial introduction period, I think adding to your feline family is a wonderful idea
A new addition ideally should be isolated for a period of about 2 weeks before he or she meets the resident kitty. During this time, the cats will start getting used to each other's smells. There will probably be some hissing and growling through or under the door.
Please be sure that the new baby is vet checked and is negative for FeLV and feline AIDS before bringing him or her home.
And let us know if you would like some more tips for introducing kitties.
Regards, PHKitkat
