Since I've been reading about this cattitude calicos seem to have, I'm doubting if it's a good idea. My husband will kill me (not really) if I bring in another cat. Lost mine back in March and we got another at the shelter ... DSH and a male tabby. He's about 18 months and is the sweetest, loving, laid back cat (with the energy and mischief of a young cat). I haven't decided 100% on getting a new one but heading in that direction. There's so many at our shelter it's sad.
