Well, I have had both, and its hard to say. Depending on the cat, they may try to hunt the ferret, which would be very bad. The other issue is ferrets like to hunt things bigger than them in the wild and love to nip...repeatedly. This could irritate the cats into a poor reaction. You could definitely baby sit and keep them separate, but if they are going to be out together, it would be a judgment call on how you cats would react. Each time they come over it will be like starting from scratch if their are long breaks between.



That said, it cane be fine. I found this very brief cut video below of a pet rat and cat where the cat was not so much the problem.
