Both of my kitties are that kind...They can stay hours digging their poos. Except that Bob is extremely inefficient at doing it (I have seen Daisy come back after Bob is done and bury HIS poo, LOL)

I actually have 2 rugs: a plastic one (the one use to protect certain areas of the carpet) and over it a regular rug. Every once in a while I obviously shake them off the litter, but I still need to vacuum sometimes I have noticed that the covered litterbox (which I have in my bedroom) lets a lot less litter out. There are other litterboxes designed for the kitty to enter from above...Must be a lot better.
