I have tried just about everything and if I don't get help soon...I may have to find a new home for one of my family members! My grandfather whose health has deteriorated over the years moved in with me in November, he brought along Henry a two year old cat. Henry has always been a greaat cat, litter trained, well behaved but somewhat shy around new people. I got him as a b-day gift for my grandpa(knowing someday I would eventually take him into my home), they're "best" pals. My home already has a family of: 4 cats ranging in age from 13-8, all fixed and indoor cats, 2 large birds 15 & 30 yrs old, and a sweet puppy we rescued in November (she'll be 1 in Aug.)ANyway Henry had a rough time adapting. We had him in my grand-pa's room with his own litterbox and food until he got used to the smells..fast forward...he's happy and getting along great w/my other cats (even bonded w/the one I thought would have problems...) After a couple months moved his box w/others (they all have their own box)and a few weeks later started just spraying in a few key spots. I believe it is def. territorial because Henry hates the puppy in fact the two pals hate her. All she wants to do is play and they want no part. I have spent hundreds...no health problem, used the "kitty" plug-in (like the glade plug ins w/phermones), "stay-away" spray, enzyme breakdown cleaner, crating him, putting his box back and keepinh him in room (he then misses my cats and I can't keep the door open cuz puupy will eat "treats" (yech) from box. I don't know what else to do. I am so close to finding a more "stress-free" environment for him, but then I check in on my grand pa and there Henry is plastered on him!!!! What else can I do? PLEASE HELP!!!! [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Hide Replies ]
