I have an 8- year old male cat who can't seem to decide where to remove his bowels. Sometimes he uses the litter box for days at a time, with no problem and then other days he goes on the floor, in the corner of my living room (same spot everytime). On average it seems to be an "every other day" occurance..one day in the litter box the next on the floor. I changed litter and I don't think it is a location problem. Three years ago he was diagnosed with COlitis so we took him to the Vet and everything was fine (although the doctor put him on Flagyl, which didnt seem to make a difference at all). He does not have diarrhea (his bowels are normal in size and in solid form. His behavior is the same, eating & drinking is normal and he urinates in the box. He has NEVER been a finicky cat...He has many changes and he never was affected. There has been no major changes in his or our lives lately I would appreciate any feedback anyone has to give. Please! J
