Hello,
I have a cat, cheezit, who is about 6 now. He is one of the three cats we own (all outdoor cats). Hes been having a problem with peeing for a long time, and its getting worse. He likes to pee in various places around the house.. particually my room. We checked him for a urinary track infection and was treated several times; however, there was no change in his spraying.
My grandfather owns a cat, Patches, that we take during the winter while hes in Florida. Cheezit has known her since he was young, and they have gotten along; however, this year he growels at her. She has been with us since mid-October, and Cheezit's spraying has gotten worse with her here.
Because of Cheezit's increase in spraying since my grandfather's cat has been here, I would assume that his problem is behavorial. I thought that maybe he tries to show dominance over the other cats. Besides Cheezit, I have a male and female cat (brother and sister and older than Cheezit). My male cat, Nicky, is obviously the dominant cat; however, he gets along with Cheezit great and he does not pee anywhere.
Im really worried that I'm going to have to give Cheezit up. I love him to death, but with his continous spraying I may have to. Thank you so much for reading this message and I appreaciate any advice you have!
Thanks! Marie
