Oh my goodness, those cats need to be fixed! They should have been neutered before 6 months old in order to avoid any spraying problems. Please take them to the vet and get them neutered ASAP and hopefully the spraying habit won't be so ingrained in them that it can be reversed.
This is exactly what unfixed cats do to mark their territory, both male and female. I've heard that whole male urine smells just horrid and seems to be an odor that's almost impossible to get rid of. After they are fixed then you should work on eliminating the odor so they don't respray there. Try Nature's Miracle which you can get at Petco or Petsmart or about any pet store.
