I have had a problem with Callie (our Calico) urinating on things left on the floor. She pees on the bathmat in the bathroom, shopping bags in the kitchen, the kids coats if they leave them on the floor in the livingroom.....This happened before we spayed her, and I thought she was marking her territory while in heat. She was spayed about 4 months ago, and she is STILL urinating everywhere. She uses the litterbox for defecating. What can I do? What takes out the smell of cat urine so she won't just keep using all the spots in the house she's marked? How do you "train" a cat to NOT pee everywhere? She just urinated on 2 pairs of my jeans right in front of me! I'm at my wits end here, and would appreciate ANY help.
