Until you know the culprit it's kind of hard to do much more about this problem other than what you've done!

You might want to spring for a Comfort Zone plug-in with Feliway and also yet another litterbox, although I understand about space limitations.

If you do ever figure out the kitty who thinks outside the box, then a vet exam will determine if there is a medical cause.
