I do have another cat but we are almost positive it is him. When I empty the litter boxes every morning I know when he has not used it. He is 4 years old and we have lived here for a year and a half and have always had the same couch. It is an old couch, pleather, with lots of holes in it, but I tend to cover them up with a blanket. Just a couple of months ago I noticed that there was cat pee. I cleaned it, sprayed it and hoped it wouldn't happen again. He still uses the litter box too. He tends to only do it at night when we are sleeping. For about 2 weeks I put plastic bags on the couch and we didn't have a problem, I felt it was safe and removed them. A couple of weeks later I find that he did it again. He has also peed in the dining room but I haven't found any evidence of that recently.
