Cat Pooping and Peeing Outside of Litterbox - Husband's Fault?

Hi,

I am pregnant so my husband has taken over litterbox duties. The only problem is that we have 4 cats, and the boxes need to be scooped every day (we have 2 large boxes).

Unfortunately my husband has not been keeping up on them and doing them only when they get reeeally dirty.

Now, one of my cats has begun to poop and pee in one certain room of the house. I'm pretty sure he's sick of dirty litter boxes and even though my husband has gotten better at scooping more often, this particular cat is still soiling in this room.

Any suggestions of how to get him to stop this behavior?

Thanks!
