Is there any special sprays or anything short of a bear trap to keep him off of it? We don't want to get rid of him but if he keeps it up hes going to the shelter.

====

Since he has been doing so well all these years, a vet visit will help let you know if he has any easy to fix urniary tract infections or other problems.

One solution might be to put the bean bag in a closet or room with a closed door when you aren't using it and pull it out when you want to since it is light weight and portable.

But ultimately, if you can't find a solution, wouldn't it make more sense to get rid of a cheap plastic bean bag than your beloved pet of 13 years?
