He will finish up, turn around and smell what he's left, and then turn around to bury it. However, when he turns around to bury it, he is often putting one of his back feet right into it, which then carries some of what he's left out of the litterbox. This morning was a prime example of this as I was trying to get around for work and heard him making sounds like he was trying to bury something in the litterbox, even though he was in my living room. I went down and discovered that he'd tracked a log out of the litterbox and into the middle of the living room where he was trying to bury it in the carpet. He'd smeared it around a bit into the carpet and then tried covering it up with some of his toys. I was able to get the carpet cleaned and the toys washed off, but is there any way to try to teach him not to put his feet into his business to try to prevent this or cut the frequency of this down?
