My neutered male Rusty(3 yrs ) does the same thing only he
has a preference for Chennille throws. He doesn't actually
rub on them, just does the humpy thing and kneads at the
same time (Freud had a name for this fixation ... it escapes me at the moment - LOL ). It doesn't seem to
be in reaction to anything stressful - he just likes it.

Have never seen him behave this way with any other fabrics.
