Yesterday I noticed Quentin acting strange around a library book I had rented. He sniffed the book all over, kept rubbing his face against it and even licked it. He jumped on my lap while I was reading the book and kept rubbing against it, pushed the book on the floor & continued to rub. He's never acted this way with a book before, and I wonder why he's so fascinated with it. Quentin acted the same way this morning when I showed him the book. I don't notice anything different about it, but there must be some scent left from the person who had rented the book before me. That's the only reason I can come up with. The book is a paperback one: James Patterson's "The Jester." Although I don't think it's the author because I've rented James Patterson books before with no reaction from the cat. BTW, Star isn't interested in the book, only Quentin is. Has anyone else had their cat react like this to a book?
