Hi everyone,

I've tried asking my vet about my Cornish Rex's behaviour change but she didn't seem to have the answer, so I'm putting the question out here for all of you in the hopes that a fellow Rex owner will help me out.

I have a 1 1/2 yr old female Cornish Rex. We brought her home about a year ago (in fact, nearly exactly a year ago) and starting last night, she's started seriously freaking out. Normally she is extremely affectionate, friendly, always coming up to us, wanting to play etc. But, last night she suddenly became afraid of EVERYTHING. She's all jumpy, her hair is on end, her tail won't go up and she's freaked out by EVERYTHING! She's not afraid of us though, she slept under the blankets with us last night but was too afraid to come out of the blankets this morning!

Her name is Jynx and she lives with 2 other cats who are both fine. There have been no changes around the house, no new people, no new animals. The windows have been open for about a week now, so it's not because the weather is suddenly nice and we are letting in new smells.

Has anyone ever had this problem with a Rex before? I've never seen such a drastic behaviour change in a cat before. I don't know what to do and I want my loving playful Rex back!!!!

Please help me!!!

I can be reached on here or via email at:

miranda.wray@gmail.com

I look forward to hearing from you all!! Thank-you!!!
