My 3 1/2 year old male cat is acting really strange lately. He is constantly meowing and now he can't hardly meow at all. It's very scratchy almost as if he has a sore throat. Whenever he is in the house he is pacing in front on me or my husband. The last two days he has taken to scratching me for no apparant reason. I'll be sitting on the couch or the bed and he'll run in the room, jump up and scratch me then run and hide. I called the vet and they asked if he was eating OK and said to keep an eye on him. Has anyone had this happen to them before? It's getting really painful.
