Posted by: kejordan at Tue Oct 3 21:16:15 2006 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by kejordan ] We don't have any cats or pets for that matter, but for the last month or so, a cat (which does not appear to be a stray, but doesn't have a collar/ID tag) has been trying to get into our house. At first, it just meowed outside on the steps and clawed at the door, often with another cat as well. The other cat only tried it for a few days, but this one cat has persisted for weeks and now succeeds by hiding in the bushes next to our house and sneaking in behind us at the last minute before we close the door as we enter the house. Once in the house, the cat does not seem to be aiming to go towards any one thing; it just looks around. We always put it back outside if it gets in, but it always tries again. Today it got into my car as well when I wasn't looking. Is this common behavior for a non-stray cat? Trying to get into a stranger's house/car? And is it just due to curiosity, or are they usually looking for something in particular? [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Hide Replies ]
