You're being adopted - even if this kitty has a "real" home. For whatever reason, you're now part of his territory.

Years ago a friend had a cat who who would show up on her doorstep, come in take a nap, maybe even stay the night then leave. Turned out he belonged up the street. His owners had no idea.

My parents had a cat years ago that got meals at several houses over a two block area. Casey had a great con job going, one woman after another fed him thinking he was starving to death - 'poor kitty' my eye!
