 Hi,
It's hard to say why your cat has started doing this. Might be something harmless, but I always take any behavior change seriously in senior cats.

Even something that appears positive may not be a good thing. When my cat, Fiona, became suddenly more affectionate, I took her in and she was diagnosed with kidney failure. Her numbers came down with treatment, but when she started sleeping in new places and I took her back, her numbers were up again.

I do admit to being paranoid, but it's better to be safe than sorry. I recommend a vet check for your baby if he hasn't had one recently.

 Regards,
 PHKitkat
