It's not unusual for the cat who just came home from the vet to set of stranger alerts in other household cats. Especially when there are only a couple of cats in the house that haven't had a lot of cat to cat introductions in their lifetimes.

The first kitty is just being extra catious right now. "Hmmm, you're starting to smell the same, but I'm still not ready to trust that you're the same cat yet....hmmmph."

It should pass in a couple of days.
