Posted by: streakn at Mon Jul 21 22:41:13 2003 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by streakn ] My girlfriend works in a vet clinic and was bitten by a stray cat that had been quarantined after biting another person 3 days earlier. The vet says that she should wait 10 days to get the rabies vaccine, at which point he can determine if the animal in infected or not. However, I have read reports that the incubation period in humans can be as short as 5 days after exposure. Please anyone who can provide some info get back to me at this forum or at my email: stillstreakn@hotmail.com. Thank you.
