Aww....thanks for adopting a shelter kitty! He's probably not smelling too good from being in that environment, so I would give him a few swipes with a bathing wipe. Once he settles into his new home, he will probably start grooming more. But if he doesn't and he still has an odor, have a vet check him out. There are some illnesses that will cause a cat to give off certain odors. I'm sure it's just that shelter smell and the fact he is still getting used to his new surroundings. ----- Dottie
