Silly Samantha always ran and hid when I attempted brushing her in the past. However now that she's almost six years old, she's so much more mature and discovered the that she wouldn't have to spend hours grooming herself if she let me brush her. Whenever she sees that slicker brush now, she comes running and lies down in front of me, purring. She even rolls over and spreads her back legs for me to get her rear. She actually loves it. But after all, don't girls have a right to change their minds when they get older and more mature?

My sweet little Katrina likes being brushed for a little bit but then will wander off. It's so odd how much hair I get from Samantha and KatyKatt, who are both short hair, compared to what little I get from Katrina who's long haired. Her hair is so soft and silky and rarely mats or sheds. She looks like she has Maine Coon genes in her and I wonder if that's how Maine Coon's hair is?

As always, Simba loves being brushed and loved on. Since he's had his lion cut though, he doesn't have much to brush.

KatyKatt is even beginning to tolerate the brushing and will lie down for me to run the slicker brush over her a few times. Strange thing about her is, when I brush her, the fur that I get out of the brush is just as orange as Samantha's. It must be all of the underneath coat. Here's a picture of KatyKatt. Does she look like an orange cat?
