I have a 13 yr old cornish rex that my husband and I got at the SPCA, his name is Senior because he eats senior cat food, lol. We've had him for 3 months and we're both in love with him. My husband has cat allergies but they haven't bothered him at all until last Thurs when he randomly broke out in hives. We're not sure if it's the cat (god i hope not), or the pollen which is dangerously high right now.
I give Senior baths and brush him, and use a coditioning type oil on his coat to make it shiny and cause less dander.
So I think I'm doing everything to cut down on dander as best I can.
My question is, has anyone had allergy shots for cat allergies?? And did it work??
