My cat Samantha had two litters of cats about 5 years ago but that's my only experience with pregnant cats and newborn kittens. However it sounds like your cat has already had the kittens somewhere. Or maybe it was only one kitten like my daughter's cat had, a few years ago.

If she's already had them, you can find out where they are by just watching the mother. She'll come out for food, water and to use the litter box. Sammi had her second litter hidden in my bedroom closet and then a few hours after she had them, she walkied out of the closet, looking at me like I wasn't supposed to notice a difference in her size or anything, went into the kitchen to eat and drink and then used the litter box and then very casually walked back into the closet...
