>>my F-1 chausie had her first three kittens five days ago and Im not sure they are getting milk from her. on matter how I try I cant get any milk to come out of her or see any sign of milk on the kittens mouths. Im not sure how much a kitten weight it at birth but I did start to weight them and on 12-20 they were all about 7.0 oz one 6.8 one 7.0 one 7.1 and each day they gain 1 oz. so does this mean they are getting enough or should they gain more? all help would be great! thanks.

It is important that they all be gaining and gaining at near the same rate. They should gain 50 to 100 grams per week. If the kittens are crying a lot and seem to be nursing but still crying afterwards, they may not be getting enough milk from mom. You can supplement with a good quality milk replacment like KMR. There are directions on the can (dry or liquid) for supplmenting as well as feeding orphaned kittens. The first few weeks they should double their weight each week.
