Posted by: sophiebugg at Thu Jan 27 08:18:31 2005 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by sophiebugg ] My cat, Sophie, is 20 years old and in okay health. She's got arthritis pretty bad and her entire lower spine is fused. She now no longer grooms herself. She frequently gets hair mats. How often should I bathe her? I want to keep her clean but I don't want to bathe her "too much". Also, can anyone recommend anything about the matting? She's a short hair cat, but her fur is incredibly thick, it mats like crazy and she's not very fond of combing. Thank you!
