I went from adult cat formula dry to senior cat formula dry. I feed the premium foods. They have done well on the Senior foods. As cats get older, their nutritional needs change. For instance, they don't need as much protein as the younger cats and protein taxes their kidneys. I recommend talking with your vet. We let the weight gain be the judge as to when to switch. From age 2 thru 9, they stayed the same weight. At age 10, they both put on two pounds. Switching to Senior brougth them back down to their normal weight and has kept them there. It is not only weight -- it is also what their bodies need as Seniors vs. as young adults. [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Hide Replies ]
