Hello,
I have a question about my cat's hanging skin. She was spayed a year ago and at the time of her spay she was a thin six-month old. Soon after the spay I noticed that there was hanging skin in the area of the spay. I called the vet and they said that sometimes this happens. Despite my concern, I accepted their answer at the time. It's been a year now and I've noticed that while my kitty is active and healthy, the skin in that area (which has since the spay filled up with fat since kitty has gotten a little chubby) does not have the same dense fur that the rest of the coat does. It's like the fur never grew back after the shaving for the spay surgery. Does anyone have any insight as to what might be causing this? I don't want to take her back to the same vet because I think they might be hacks.
