Hey there. I need to change my dry food for health reasons, and would like some suggestions. My older cat was put on Royal Canin Main coon by the vet because his of his coat. Without it he ends up with a very greasy, dirty looking coat with very dry ichy skin with lots of dandruff. It also helps is joints some. The problem is my younger cat can't handle the nutrient levels and it gives him reoccuring diahrreah, especially with a newly opened bag. If I open it ahead of time to make it lose some nutrients, my older cat gets ichy with dandruff again(his coat stays okay). It also doesn't always work for the younger one, the humidity seems to keep it from drying out, so it holds everything longer. I need a food that will keep my coon in shape, but keep my other's tummy from being so rocky. I bought some Nutro indoor formula today, hopeing it might be what I'm looking for. But if not, does anyone have a suggestion? As a little more info, his former owner couldn't afford the cost of the RC as it would have to be fed to 6 cats, so kept them on science diet which didn't help him. Also,I do have to keep dry food out because my older cat panics if it isn't. When you try it, he will eat so fast the moment food is put out he'll throw it back up. So I do need to keep something out.
