Months ago I saw a stray hanging around but not on a regular basis. Recently she started coming around regularly and just over 3 weeks ago I trapped her and realized she appeared to be nursing 4 kittens so let her go. I have followed her several times but have not seen any kittens and neither has she brought any here. Have called all surrounding neighbors. we are in a rural area. Some people moved a few months ago and perhaps they left her behind (how could they!) because she is so sweet and friendly but thin and starved. I am now feeding her daily and today she spent most of the afternoon here so would she do that if she has kittens somewhere? Her lower belly seems full, hoping she is not pregnant but planning on taking her to a vet this week for check up and hopefully spay. As she is tame will I be able to gently put her in a carrier, I think somewhere I read to upend it and lower them into it? Will also wear gloves. Any advice welcome, can't wait to get her healthy and clean and well fed
