Hi!

About 6 weeks ago (somewhere between May 22 and 25th - can't remember exactly) my husband decided to adopt a WONDERFUL stray cat. She was skin and bones, very friendly, and very young.

We planned to get her spayed when we take our other 2 cats and our St. Bernard in for their annual checkup next month, so have been VERY careful to make sure she stays inside (all our cats are indoor cats) - didn't want any unexpected surprises! It seems, however, that she came with baggage...several baggages...

Our house is NOT well equipped for kittens - and the St. Bernard would LOVE to PLAY with them - and probably slobber them to death - so we have cleared out a lot of my stepson's room, put mom-to-be in there with her own litter, food and water, and a birthing box. (And LOTS of visits and attention!)

I'm trying to figure out when exactly she is due. She had to be pregnant before we adopted her, so the LATEST due date would be July 29th. I don't want to keep her in one room too long, butI also don't want to take a chance with her health or the kittens!

We noticed she had put on weight and was a bit lethargic last Saturday. when we picked her up we noticed her nipples, and that her tummy was starting to show. since then, if I LIGHTLY rest my hand on her side, I can feel the kittens moving around. Her tummy seems to still be getting bigger, and I noticed today her nipples were a bit larger too. She is still eating well, and is very active. I haven't seen any signs of her looking for a place to have kittens, or any change in her behaviour.

I know this isn't much to go on, but any thoughts would be appreciated!

Sebastienne
