Hi There!
Wonderful news about Sola! Thanks for the update
It's nice that your vet is open to suggestions also, regarding Sola's budesonide dose. And a good sign that he doesn't need it every day.
Leukeran and budesonide are two totally different drugs. Leukeran is a type of chemo, usually prescribed for cats with intestinal lymphoma, and budesonide is a steroid. If a cat has this type of cancer often Leukeran is given, along with a steroid. Some vets may prescribe Leukeran for cats with IBD only, to try to prevent cancer, but most don't. I wouldn't want my cats on any form of chemo unless they actually had cancer.
Your great news made my day!
Regards, PHKitkat
