Hi There,
It's pretty standard for a vet to sedate a cat for grooming. This is an advantage of having a vet do it, as the sedation makes the grooming process easier for the cat I would find out what type of sedation will be used ahead of time. You wouldn't want general anesthesia used unless it is absolutely necessary. Since Harley is a shorthair cat he won't be having a body clip, which would take longer and be more likely to require a general.
Harley is a very handsome boy, BTW!
