Brought Ben home today after being in the hospital for 2 1/2 days on fluids and giving extra potassium. He does nave renal failure but seemed to be doing much better. His head was hanging down and walking unsteady when I brought him in and now actually he is back to normal. The doc did give him a steroid injection. Even though I have read that isn't a good idea, it did help. It may be only for a short time though. Doc isn't ruling out neurological things. All his other xrays turned out ok. His blood work showed all his levels are back normal. He is on k/d and a/d. Adding some potassium in his food or under his tongue. I just want to know if anyone can give me any info on something to try to make him eat. He did eat at the doctor's. He just isn't eating enough to me. I have been researching and reading and it is poss. that he just feels nauseous and that could be why. He acts like he is hungry. I just to get him to eat anything that is healthly, he is 17. I don't want his levels going wild again. I read about baby food being given, what type of baby food, does anyone know. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it. Thanks Lil
