Hi There,

Welcome to the board!!

It's usually best to feed the amount recommended on the package, then monitor your cat's weight over time. If he is losing, then feed more, if he is gaining, you would feed less. The cat's individual metabolic rate comes into play also---What is the right amount to feed one cat may not be the same for the next cat. Also, some cats are more active than others.

If your kitty's weight is stable, and you can feel his ribs easily (but not see them) when you pet him along his sides, he is probably doing fine

Regards,
PHKitkat
