We recently took in a 1.25 year old female cat from an owner who was allergic. She is small, about 7 lbs, but the vet says she appears healthy. She did not eat much for the previous owner and only eats a few bites (if any) every day. We had the vet run the usual assortment of bloodtests and they came back fine.

I guess the question is, if the cat can maintain her weight, are these eating habits okay? The next option is to see an internal specialist, but that can be very expensive from what we have been told.

In the meantime, is there anything we should try in terms of food? We have ran through all of the usual off-the shelf brands and styles and it really does not matter. To supplement, we have been giving her some nutritional “paste” a few times a week from a feeding syringe. Thanks!
