Just a quick post to say I am almost 100% sure it's his teeth after watching him eat. Seems to want to avoid chewing, puts his head to one side, gnaws away at it and there's sometimes a grinding noise.

Seems to show a real interest in food though which is great.
I'll get him down the vets next week to see if he's a good enough weight for surgery.
