Our cat, who is 12 years old, seems to be very sick. Her right lip/face is swollen, so she cannot effectively eat or open her mouth very much. She's barely eating the Science Diet feline A/D (soft food) that we're offering her and has lost a lot of weight.
We don't know what the problem is. She's on her second round of Clyndamicine (sp) Hydrochloride and the vet can't figure it out. What could this be? Today she was begging to go outside (she's an indoor cat) and my sister followered her, and she was heading toward the road. We know animals often go off to die on their own. Please help!! We have no idea what it could be and it's killing her.
