Hello,
I have a question about my two year old female shorthair domestic cat, Rosey. About a week ago, I discovered lumps on either side of her body, where her ribs end. I'm thinking she has swollen kidneys, and I'm very worried about her. I haven't taken her to get checked at the vet yet, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem in cats, and what it could possibly be. She is eating normally, she doesn't seem to have a fever, and she purrs as much as usual. Last night she pooped on the floor three times, and it was a very dark brown colour (darker than normal). The only difference in her lifestyle is we got a kitten about 2 months ago, and they often get in scraps. Could it be possible that the kitten has stressed her out to the point of her having some sort of disease? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
