He said I should see if it goes down again. I don't see any sign that he's eaten it and it's a hanging plant, but could chewing a philodendron leaf make his lip swell? I can't think of anything else that could be doing it unless he's eating our garbage again.


Philodendron is a toxic plant for cats. It very well could be the cause. Below is a link to a list of poisonous or toxic plants to cats.
