This is very puzzling indeed. If a veterinary dermatoligist can't figure it out, your cat must have something very rare wrong with her.

If you live within driving distance of a veterninary college you might want to consider calling them and seeing if they will see your cat. These places are usually on the cutting edge of techonology and can diagnose and treat things that even the best vet misses!

Some vet schools offer a consulting service for a fee. You can call and talk to an expert in the field of your choice. Here is the number for the Cornell Feline Telephone
Consultation and Diagnostic Service -- 1-800-KITTY-DR

If you ask to speak to a veterninary dermatologist they will find you one - and you won't be charged until s/he actually begins to talk to you. If s/he is not available your call will be returned.
