Yes, when he was a kitten--about that same age--my Tonkinese, Eddie, had the exact same problem. (I referred to it as drippy butt.) Additionally, he was not gaining weight. After numerous tests it was discovered that his pancreas was either inflamed or not functioning fully. I had to give him Pancreasime (sp?) for about a year, as I recall. It was 7 years ago so I can't recall exactly how long.

You might have your vet check this out. As I recall it was fairly difficult to diagnose. I just found the records, and it was a vet in the GI Lab at Texas A&M (my vet sent him the blood samples) that made the diagnosis.

Best of luck with your kitty, and please keep us posted.

>>my kitty doesn't have diarrhea - BUT, in between bowel movements, he leaks a little bit of liquidy or soft stool. Anywhere he sits, he leaves a little spot. I've had him worked up by the vet, he doesn't know what it is, except that he has a "loose sphincter." He's been dewormed, he has a good appetite and is pretty active and playful, but just has this messy problem. Has anyone else run across this? Any suggestions?
