Posted by: ncat at Mon May 12 16:10:22 2008 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by ncat ] I TOOK miloh to my regular vet today as he is not eating , drinking or urinating. I also notice some fine shaking of his head. He seems out of it and very lethargic. The vet was concerned that his heartrate was slower than his baseline and his temperature was 98.6 which is low. She drew blood to check all his levels (KIDNEY, LIVER ETC ) and gave fluids subcu. She mentioned him possibly ingesting something toxic so I am beating myself up wondering if and what he could get into. I am ready to toss out any and all cleaning solutions. Strangely enough I had changed to the 'grren line' . I am afraid it is renal failure. My sisters dog died of chronic renal failure after 4 mos of hell for he and the family. The vet mentioned my learning to give the IV fluids but I cannot even though I AM A NURSE. I wonder if the cat food (he has shared good quality adult cat food with the others for months after being fed kitten food). And I do not have antifreeze in the house. I feel helpless seeing Miloh lying so still in the bathroom. [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Show Entire Thread ] | ||
